Andreas Könings is one of the leading experts in neurocentric training in Europe. As one of the first neurotrainers in the German-speaking world, he played a key role in establishing this innovative approach in training and therapy.
Following his studies in sports economics and his work in high-performance sports, he specialized early on in the intersection between the brain and movement, partly due to his own injuries. As a Z-Health® Master Trainer, Andreas now brings over 15 years of international experience working with top athletes, pain patients, as well as trainers and therapists.
Since 2017, he has been the professional director of the Deutsche Neuro-Akademie, which was one of the first providers of German-language neuro-training courses and has since developed into a renowned and comprehensive training institution for healthcare providers in the field of neurotraining. In 2021, Andreas acquired the academy in its entirety and has been running it as director and co-owner ever since.
He shares his knowledge with the general public through various channels, thereby playing a decisive role in the dissemination and application of neurotraining. This includes not only the publication of several specialist books and articles, but also various speaking engagements at trade fairs and conferences, as well as the operation of the leading German-language YouTube channel for neurotraining. Through his work on the advisory board of a renowned specialist journal for therapists, he actively supports the further development of modern training and therapy concepts.
In his daily work, Andreas combines scientific findings with practical application. Together with ARTZT, he pursues the goal of making neurotraining effective and accessible to different target groups through high-quality tools and understandable concepts. His credo: Training re(neuro)thought.
