Product description

Many hours at your desk or looking at your smartphone often first make their presence felt in your neck. The Therabody ThermNeck & Upper Back is a neck massager that you wear around your neck like a collar. It combines the percussive massage Theragun is known for with kneading massage and heat. This leaves both hands free, whether on the sofa, at your desk, or on the go.

What the neck massager with heat can do

The ThermNeck features two Theragun motors that simultaneously apply massage to the upper back on the left and right. This is where the upper trapezius and levator scapulae muscles are located, among other muscles that often feel tight during screen work. It also features a kneading massage that works more gently and covers a larger area than the percussive massage.

A carbon fiber heating element with far infrared heat provides three heat levels. There are also 12 near-infrared LEDs in the neck area. Many people find heat combined with massage particularly pleasant and relaxing.

How to use the ThermNeck

Applying:Place the device around your neck, fasten the adjustable strap with the buckles, and switch it on
Adjusting the pressure:Pull the handle loops forward and down to make the massage heads fit more snugly. Use the strap to adjust the fit
Duration:The preset program runs for 20 minutes. For percussive massage, Therabody recommends 2 to 5 minutes per session
Care:Wipe the massage heads and silicone surfaces with a damp, alcohol-free cloth after use. Do not immerse in water and allow to dry completely before charging

ThermNeck or massage gun?

You guide a Theragun massage gun yourself and can use it to target the entire body. However, it is difficult to reach your neck with it alone. The ThermNeck is designed specifically for this area and works without your hands. Both devices therefore complement each other well.

Relieve tension before it builds up

Together, kneading massage and far-infrared heat relieve stress-related tension that builds up in the trapezius muscle and the upper back muscles throughout the day, before it has a chance to set in.

FAQ

Do neck massagers really help with muscle tension?

Massage and heat are considered relaxing by many and can provide a feeling of ease in the neck. How well this works for you depends on the cause of your tension. In addition, regular exercise and targeted exercises for the shoulders and neck are advisable. If symptoms persist or are severe, have the cause examined by a doctor or physiotherapist.

How long can I use the neck massager at one time?

The ThermNeck's preset program runs for 20 minutes. For percussion massage, Therabody recommends 2 to 5 minutes per session. If an area feels irritated or uncomfortable, choose a lower setting or end the session.

When should I not use the device, or only use it after consulting a doctor?

Therabody recommends consulting a doctor before using percussive devices, especially if you have a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, are pregnant, or have medical conditions such as osteoporosis or diabetes. Do not use on open wounds, skin rashes, bruises, or directly on the front of the neck. Read the safety instructions in the user manual before first use.

What makes the ThermNeck different from a conventional neck massager?

Many neck massagers use Shiatsu or kneading heads. The ThermNeck also offers percussion massage with two Theragun motors, as well as far infrared heat and near-infrared LEDs. The handle loops allow you to determine how firmly the device rests against you.

How long does the battery last?

The battery lasts up to 180 minutes, depending on the selected program and intensity level. Charge using the included USB-C cable.
