Elite Sport I Team Sport

Dominik Suslik

M.A. in Sports Science, Head of the Medical Department at the Hannover 96 Youth Academy, Neuroathletic Trainer for professional and youth players, Organizational Head of the 96 Competence Center for Football Medicine

"The team at ARTZT neuro and I are united by a love for people and for human potential, striving toward greater vitality, freedom from pain, and performance."

Dominik has been working as an athletic and rehab coach with aspiring and established professional football players for over 15 years. In addition to his work for Hannover 96, he was active on the coaching staff of World Cup-winning coach Christian Wück for the German Football Association's junior national teams, where he worked with players such as Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala.

Previously, he spent 8 years working as an athletic and rehab coach in the Handball Bundesliga: from 2011 to 2013 for MT Melsungen and from 2013 to 2019 for TSV Hannover-Burgdorf. The players he has coached include Bundesliga football and handball players, among them Olympic champions, world champions, and European champions. Through extensive further training, he has become one of Germany’s leading experts in athletic and neuro-athletic training.

In addition to his sports and business administration studies in Germany, he was one of the first Germans to complete the Z-Health curriculum in "Applied Pain and Performance Neurology" with Dr. Eric Cobb in the USA, and earned a Diploma in Performance Nutrition from the International Institute of Performance Nutrition in England. He is the initiator and content developer of the "Prevention Management Tool" (PMT), software used for load and strain management for team athletes in Germany, which he first initiated as the "Athletics Connect" software in 2014 together with the development team at Zinkler & Brandes, and transferred into the "PMT" in 2019 with and for the
Verwaltungsberufsgenossenschaft (the German administrative professional association).

Dominik is an early adopter of developments in the fields of prevention, therapy, and training, and a creative practitioner with vision. In 2016, he wrote the book "Therapie und Training mit dem Flossband," a mobility and therapy concept featuring screening tests that goes well beyond the use of a single tool. In 2020, he won the German Prevention Prize in Sports in the sustainability category together with Hannover 96 GmbH & Co KGaA for the development of the "Neurological Prevention Algorithm."

In 2021, during the pandemic, he dedicated himself to the topic of neuroimmunology together with the MOJO Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Dr. Gerrit Keferstein, and created the online training program for the "Immune Signature Coach" to educate people about the connections between energy metabolism and the immune system and to inspire them toward better health and performance. In 2024, he published the book "Neurozentriertes Training in der Sportphysiotherapie" together with his colleagues Daniel Müller, Kevin Grafen, and Dirk Schauenberg.
