Q: What material is the TheraBand made of?

Latex TheraBands are natural products made from pure latex. The original TheraBands are free of any harmful substances such as plasticizers and the like. Please note, however, that the latex can cause allergic reactions. The product is tested by the FDA (American Food Inspection). The material was treated with talc/powder after production and should also be regularly cared for with talc/powder during use. Latex-free TheraBands are made of synthetic rubber, which is also suitable for people with latex allergies. It is easy to clean and does not need to be treated with talc afterwards.

Resistance training with the original TheraBand

The TheraBand is the original fitness band and has since become the ultimate training tool for strength and endurance training in sports medicine, therapy, professional and recreational sports.

Our company founder Ludwig Artzt introduced the band in Germany in the early 1980s. It then spread throughout Europe. In 2006, it accompanied the German men's national football team on their way to the podium.

Now you can get the original TheraBand in the new zip bag. The special feature: the bag can be transformed into a fully-fledged door anchor in no time at all. For even more training variety at home! The new bag is made from 65% recycled polyester and is produced in compliance with REACH and the Oeko-Tex Standard 100.

When stored in the bag, the TheraBand is 2.50 metres long, which is the perfect length for a range of back exercises, full-body workouts and holistic rehabilitation training.

Which TheraBand is right for me?

You can find the TheraBand in a total of eight different strengths. You should be able to repeat an exercise with your TheraBand 15 times before you notice any fatigue. If you can do more or less, try a stronger or weaker band.

You can find the TheraBand in the following strengths:

Beige | Very light: 1.1 kg - Rehabilitation and reconstruction
Yellow | Light: 1.3 kg - Therapy and care as well as rehabilitation after injuries
Red | Medium: 1.7 kg - Therapy and rehabilitation, playful children's training, prevention training

Can my TheraBand tear?

Yes. TheraBands are natural products made of latex, the elasticity of which decreases over time. The durability depends largely on care and frequency of use. If there is visible damage such as tears, holes, etc., you should replace your band immediately.

If you use the TheraBand regularly and frequently, you should usually replace it after about 1 - 2 months.

How much can I stretch my TheraBand?

You should not stretch your TheraBand more than 300%. You should therefore not stretch a 2.50 m long band more than 7.50 m long.
