Motion Guidance is a visual feedback system for movement training used in physical therapy, neurological rehabilitation, and sports. At its core is a simple principle: movement is made visible through laser- and app-supported training goals, allowing therapists and trainers to objectively assess and specifically train posture, reaction time, and movement quality. Unlike pure reaction light systems, Motion Guidance combines several training principles in a modular system – from laser-based posture feedback to interactive, app-controlled training pods and wall-mounted tracking surfaces.
A central element is the Interactive Pods system: illuminated training targets can be activated by touch or contactlessly by laser and controlled via an app with predefined exercise games. This makes the system suitable for both classic reaction training and more complex sensorimotor tasks that combine cognitive and motor demands. Those who already own a system can expand it with the Interactive Expansion Pack or set up a fixed, wall-mounted training surface with the Compact NeuroStation NS2 – particularly suitable for practices with limited space. In addition, the CrossHair Laser is available as a precision tool that makes body alignment visible via a crosshair projection and is suitable for both static and dynamic posture exercises.
Motion Guidance is often sought as a German-language alternative to well-known reaction light systems such as Blazepod or Fitlight. The difference lies in the combination of touch and laser activation as well as the clinical orientation of the systems: the products were developed with therapeutic applications in mind, such as fall prevention, gait training, balance training, and proprioceptive training, but can also be used in performance-oriented sports to improve reaction time, accuracy, and agility.
For physical therapy practices and rehabilitation facilities, Motion Guidance thus offers an objective, motivating tool to supplement existing treatment concepts with a visual feedback component – without the need for complex technical infrastructure. For trainers and clubs, it opens up diverse application possibilities in athletic training. As with all training and feedback devices, Motion Guidance does not replace medical diagnostics, but rather complements existing therapeutic and athletic training concepts with an additional, objective feedback element.
