What is Vintage?

Vintage (English "old", "old-fashioned", "classic", "from a certain time") is a style in fashion and design in which old, mostly used clothing, furniture, musical instruments, jewelry, accessories, pictures, vehicles or other everyday items are reused or imitated.

The Vintage series is exclusively new, which has been given an old look by hand.

Vintage vs. Retro - What's the difference?

“Vintage” basically refers to everything that is either actually old and used or, as in the case of the ARTZT Vintage series, authentically imitates a used look.

“Retro” is a style that consciously imitates trends from the past and thus revives them.

Is the leather used safe?

The leather used is refined by hand in Germany and without the use of chemicals.

How is the leather tanned?

As with most types of leather, chromium oxide salts are used to tan the ARTZT Vintage Series. This gives the leather the necessary suppleness and resistance.

The harmful chromium oxide chromium VI can only be produced if handled incorrectly during this process. This is the case with around 10% of global leather production. The leather from the ARTZT Vintage series is absolutely harmless to health.

Where is the ARTZT Vintage Series manufactured?

The ARTZT Vintage Series is manufactured in Pakistan and Germany. The foreign production facilities were audited with regard to their working methods and the materials used.

The specially developed finishing process takes place exclusively in Germany.

The cube, vaulting box, trestle and horse are manufactured entirely in Germany from regional raw materials and refined by hand in the Westerwald.

Is the ARTZT Vintage Series new?

Yes, the ARTZT Vintage series currently consists exclusively of new goods, which receive their individual vintage look through a unique finishing process.

Why does my vintage product have stains, flaws or rust spots?

Spots, blemishes and other imperfections in the leather are part of the finishing process to create a distinctive and unique vintage look.

For products like the medicine ball stand, the metal used undergoes a process that causes it to oxidize. This is how the characteristic rust spots appear.

Finally, the surface is sealed with a clear varnish to maintain the unique look and keep your hands clean.

Why does my vintage product smell burnt?

This can happen because the ARTZT Vintage Series logo is hand-burned onto every vintage product. After a day or two in the fresh air, the smell should disappear.

Are ARTZT vintage products suitable for sports?

Yes, all products in the ARTZT Vintage Series are robustly manufactured and are ideal for various exercises.

How do I properly care for my vintage product?

If necessary, the leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth. If the leather becomes brittle over time, it can be treated with a high-quality vegetable oil if necessary to make it supple again.

If necessary, wood and gymnastics mat material can be cleaned with a damp cloth and, if necessary, mild soap.
