Due to their design, which keeps the ears open, bone conduction headphones do not have a noise-cancelling function or similar and are therefore not suitable for isolation in noisy environments.

Bone sound refers to the transmission of sound via the skull and facial bones directly to the inner ear.

Unlike traditional headphones, bone conduction headphones use bone conduction to transmit sound directly to the inner ear. This allows for an open ear cup and good sound quality, which makes them particularly attractive for athletes or in noisy environments.
