Paws in vintage style

In boxing, karate, taekwondo, and martial arts, they are indispensable in training: focus mitts. It's no coincidence that martial arts legend Bruce Lee trained with them as early as the 1960s. Since the early 1980s, they have become an integral part of every martial artist's training routine.

The thickly padded gloves allow for excellent punching and kicking without injuring the wearer. The wearer, in turn, can flexibly adjust the height and angle of the target. Therefore, training with the focus mitt also improves reaction time and coordination.

Is the leather used safe?

The leather used is refined by hand in Germany and without the use of chemicals.

How is the leather tanned?

As with most types of leather, chromium oxide salts are used to tan the ARTZT Vintage Series. This gives the leather the necessary suppleness and resistance.

The harmful chromium oxide chromium VI can only be produced if handled incorrectly during this process. This is the case with around 10% of global leather production. The leather from the ARTZT Vintage series is absolutely harmless to health.

Where is the ARTZT Vintage Series manufactured?

The ARTZT Vintage Series is manufactured in Pakistan and Germany. The foreign production facilities have been audited regarding their work practices and the materials used.

The cube, jumping box, buck and horse are made entirely in Germany from regional raw materials and finished by hand in the Westerwald region.

Why does my vintage product have stains, flaws or rust spots?

Spots, blemishes and other imperfections in the leather are part of the finishing process to create a distinctive and unique vintage look.

For products like the medicine ball stand, the metal used undergoes a process that causes it to oxidize. This is how the characteristic rust spots appear.

Finally, the surface is sealed with a clear varnish to maintain the unique look and keep your hands clean.

How do I properly care for my vintage product?

If necessary, the leather can be cleaned with a damp cloth. If the leather becomes brittle over time, it can be treated with a high-quality vegetable oil if necessary to make it supple again.

If necessary, wood and gymnastics mat material can be cleaned with a damp cloth and, if necessary, mild soap.
