Many are familiar with the feeling: fingers feel stiff in the morning, gripping is more difficult than it used to be, and small everyday tasks suddenly require more strength and concentration. By taking early care of the flexibility of your finger and thumb joints, you can actively counteract this feeling.

The TheraBand Hand XTrainer specifically targets a point that many hand training devices neglect: finger extension. While classic hand trainers primarily challenge grip strength – that is, squeezing – the Hand XTrainer allows you to consciously work in the opposite direction. This stretching movement is at least as important for the flexibility of finger joints and the thumb saddle joint as the strength used for gripping.

With four resistance levels from red/soft to black/extra-firm, the training can be individually adjusted. Beginners start with the softest level and work their way up over time. This keeps the training appropriately challenging without overexertion. The compact diameter of 12 cm makes the Hand XTrainer the ideal companion for short training sessions in between, with no need for a dedicated training space or additional equipment.

The Hand XTrainer is particularly useful in combination with a classic hand trainer: Together, your training covers both directions of movement – gripping and stretching – and thus a well-rounded, balanced program for the entire hand.
